"The Outsiders" comparative writing
Ok, let’s get down to it. The Movie isn’t always the same as the book it’s made after. One of the good books i’ve read is The Outsiders. The movie wasn’t as good, but it was still really good. I liked both the book and the movie, the move was action-packed, the book was more plain talking.
One word. Action. That’s what the movie was like, so if you like action-packed movies you’ll like this one. A cool thing is that the Socs were in the south, and the greasers in the north. Another is that Dally got shot not once but 11 times! Also I thought that there were more fixed main characters than I thought there would be. Like I said, this is action-packed, but not everyone likes this kind so not everyone would like it.
One Word. Talking. That’s mainly what the book was. Personally, I think it was a little boring. A cool thing about it is that dally got shot the perfect amount of times, once. Another is that Johnny did not talk very much in totality. Sometimes, the book just is awesome.
Let’s go over it now. so in the movie dally gets shot many times but in the book only once. Also in the book Johnny basically only said a few words, "stay gold pony, stay gold." In the movie there was no definite two people that started the rumble, but in the boot it was Paul and Darry. One Huge difference is that in the movie pony didn't get jumped when in the book he did. So by now you should know that the book and movie have lots of big differences between them.
There are also similarities between the two. Like how Dally died, and how Johnny died. Also how the church burned down. One small one is that Johnny and Ponyboy both read "Gone With the Wind" together. A huge one is that there was a rumble. As you see now there are similarities between them too.
I hope you've learned a bit by reading this writing and I hoped you liked it. So yes, there are a lot of differences , but there are also a lot of similarities too. One thing i've learned by reading the book is that you should always do nice, and good things for others not mean, and cruel things thats what staying gold means. So this is the end of this writing I hope you've learned a lot. THE END.
